Product Design: Gadgets for security for women

Another rape. There seems to be no end to it.
And no one is there to help. These things always happen when there is'nt any one around. The victim is alone with the offenders  most of the time.

Can there be devices, may be stealth devices which can be hidden in a bag,  pocket, wherever, which can be pulled out and can somehow defend oneself. I think a pepper spray is  a good solution at the moment.

But there could be many more...
